As a fire’s burning next to me
I admire what I couldn’t be.
Still, I wonder if I did enough.
It’s a hard life to be giving up.
Atom bomb, atta boy;
Only gods can change the weather.
Apathy over love;
It’s a long way down together. (Woo!)
Will we fall down? Ain’t it obvious.
It’s a small town; we’re just audience.
Will we ever see a victory?
Is the right side where we’re history?
Atom bomb, atta boy;
Only gods can change the weather.
Apathy over love;
It’s a long way down together.
It’s a long way down together.
There’s a cold, cold flood coming up real soon.
When we’re gone nothing will be left to bloom.
Maybe gold can hold when the world is through
But I’d rather spend more time with you.
Atom bomb, atta boy;
Only gods can change the weather.
Apathy over love;
It’s a long way down together. (Woo!)
It’s a long way down together.
It’s a long way down together.
it's such a beautiful album of grieving and loss and acceptance. it speaks to a particular kind of grief -- not a grieving of one who is lost, but the grieving for one who is still present and still causing pain. i love the last song most because while it could end in pain, or end with the narrators decision to permanently push this person out of their life and that would be justified, it doesn't. instead, it offers something. what is offered? acceptance. hope. and a chance for redemption janmisha
The Oh Hellos sind was besonderes für mich.
